INTRODUCTION
That you have not gotten married as much as you desire it is not because God is punishing you for your past – what you have done or what you haven’t done. Jesus Christ has paid for your past failures and mistakes; so, God doesn’t remember them any longer as long as you are in Christ Jesus.
Here are certain things you need to do in order to make your marriage happen:
1. Step into the supernatural. God wants to re-brand your life; so, don’t live in regret. The wife or husband you get in the supernatural is the best you can ever have and things will fall in place for you.
2. Discover your true identity in Christ Jesus. Don’t fall into the “God says” syndrome and don’t let anyone deceive you by making you feel less spiritual.
3. Always look good and wear on a sincere cheerful countenance.
4. Confess positively by faith. Words have power inherent in them to manifest whatever we say by
faith. It is what you say that will happen for you. It is what you say that will come to you. Ecclesiastes 3:11; Proverbs 23:14; 30:5. Wake up every morning and speak positively into your life.
5. You must earnestly desire what you want to happen for you. Don’t just wish, you must earnestly desire and expect it.
6. Ask God. Matthew 7:7. This is one of the things most people don’t as much as they desire to get married. You need to approach God and sincerely ask Him about your desire to get married. Just see Him as your Father who will do all things for you. So, ask Him for your life partner. He is always approachable.
When you approach Him, don’t question Him about your past regardless of what you have done; simply express your desires to Him.
7. You must realize that God is a caring, loving and responsible Father who has great desire and good plans for you. So, always meditate on His love for you. Don’t meditate on negative thoughts because everyone becomes his/her dominant thought. When you worry and think negatively, you take God to be irresponsible and wicked. Meditate more on His love because, when you know how much He loves you, you will be more confident in life.
8. Take out time to seek God. You need to aggressively seek God. You must fast and pray. Fasting puts you in a good position to hear God when you seek Him. It increases your spiritual perception and your discerning ability gets sharper. The more you seek Him the more you get into His Presence and the more He will reveal His glory. Then, His glory will attract His will to your life. Also, seeking God’s face will ensure tour steps are rightly ordered by God. So, let fasting and prayers be your lifestyle and not just because you have problems in life.
9. Get Scriptural verses as you seek God; pray and meditate on them every day. Get to confess the Word of God every day. You need to always exercise your faith through the confession of His word. Hebrews 10:35. You will get confidence in His word. You need to take God by His word because whatever He says He will surely do it. You also need to be patient and endure. Believe all He says and start to prepare towards your wedding.
10. Start to be gracious to people around you. Be kind, gentle, loving and caring to people you relate with or meet. Faith needs corresponding actions. Whatever you sow you will surely reap. Proverbs 11:30. Whoever wants a friend must be friendly himself. You need to engage people with good gestures and right compliments. It is not the beautiful face that will draw the right people to you; rather, it is the beauty of your heart. When you are gracious to people God’s glory will shine in you and people will be drawn to you.
11. Confidently expect it. You need to expect the right partner. Note that, not every brother or sister that passes by you or that you suspect is the right partner. Your expectation should make you always confess what you want all through the day.
12. Stay in your location. When you are in God’s Presence the right man will surely locate you and He will meet you in His will. A woman must be so hidden in God that any man who will find her should be able to find her in God’s heart.
13. Stop worrying. If you have ever worried before now, stop worrying. Once you understand all of the
above issues mentioned, just stay in the place of rest in God. When you are in God, you are with the Alpha and Omega who knows all things.
14. Be ready for God. God can come to you in any dimension and direction. Always be prepared and ready for Him.
I pray that the Lord will satisfy you early with His will and grant you your right partner, a fruitful and fulfilled happy marriage. Amen.
We look forward to seeing you in our fellowship which holds every Monday at The Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju, Lagos by 6 p.m.
God bless you.
